Like many others, I only write reviews when I am very happy with a product or extremely unhappy, sadly this is the latter. I purchased my WH-1000XM4 having read numerous reviews on how good the WH-1000XM4 are. Undeniably the sound quality and noise cancellation are superb. I mainly use the headphones in the office, commuting and on long haul travel, the WH-1000XM4 were ideal for this. So why the one-star review when other reviews rave about these headphones, and they win so many awards? Simple, they don't last. All the reviews and comparisons are with new headphones. After about a year and a half (outside the warranty period) the headphones developed a fault, they wouldn't reliably charge, the battery level would get stuck at 10% and when plugged in to charge the charging wouldn't activate. After a few months of struggling with this I decided to get them repaired at Sony. Having sent them in I was informed that the part required to correct this problem wasn't available, however, I could purchase a replacement pair at a discount, which I did. I have since discovered that the charging issue is a common problem, a quick internet search for "Sony WH-1000MX4 Not Charging" will bring up numerous blogs and articles describing exactly the same issue, generally after about 15 to 18 months, there are various button pressing resets that are suggested and these work for a while. But this is a fundamental flaw. For a "premium" product the components are just not adequate, and Sony does not appear to be able to source replacements. I would strongly urge anyone considering purchasing these to research how many of the glowing reviewers are still happy with the WH-1000XM4 after 18 months. If the discounted replacement pair worked, I wouldn't have written this review either but sadly after six months and very little use, this pair stopped working. Having been informed by Sony Customer Support that the replacement pair came with a 12-month warranty I wasn't too concerned. However, the Sony Customer Support have been nothing short of utterly woeful in resolving this. I have never had such a poor response from a major brand. I've purchased numerous Sony products over the past 30 years, from Walkmans, TVs, stereos and probably every model of Playstation and I have never once needed to contact customer support. After my recent experience with Sony Customer Support, the WH-1000XM4 will be my last purchase from Sony.

horrorosa experiencia. Llegan dañados, y ahí lo ponen a uno hacer cosas, como si la responsabilidad fuera mia. Llame, escriba, videollamada con servicio al cliente, finalmente llevlos fisicamente hasta el servicio tecnico (gaste su tiempo y llevelos). Para que me digan lo que ya sabía, estan dañados y no prenden. Y ahí te cambian la batería de algo nuevo. Asi que la experiencia es: PAGA NUEVO CON SONY Y RECIBES ALGO REMENDADO.

great headset sound, worse UX possible. the speak-to-chat function ignores the fact that I deactivate it about about every 12 hours and reactivates itself all the time. the android app is pretty bad, it's really hard to set the headset and have it work when having multiple devices. If you get a phone call during a zoom-like meeting the headset will break everything about it, screw the sound sources, force you to quit and join back the meeting. There's no option to make it act sanely. It feels like a bunch of managers who never actually used a headset decided that a bunch of shiny features were worth it and then never used it themselves. Again, the sound is amazing, everything around it sucks however. I'll keep it until it dies because it was so expensive but I have never experienced so many frustrating moments because the headset decies on its own to change the sound source mid-meeting because you receive a text message.

Speak to chat is useless, it gets triggered too easy, My headphones have very common issue with wheezing sound, can be eliminated if I switch off anc but that setting can't be saved.

I REALLY love this headphones, the noise cancellation is so good (i feel like i’m in a music studio). The price is a little high but it’s totally worth it. I bought the beige color and it’s BEAUTIFUL, it looks good with my outfits ^^ Also you can install the app for this headphones, helps you personalize your music experience even more! Now i’ll take them everywhere ;)

I still love 'em. I don't like going out of my way to post reviews, but it's been 5 years time now, so this is worthy of recognition. Brilliant wireless headphones! I love the durability, casing (both), and overall capability of ANC. Sometimes the auto-switching modes gets annoying and there are some finnicky connection issues with iOS. However, even with newer devices (iOS), I have found this connects fine with occasional BT troubleshooting. The pushed-for Sony app has a lot left to be desired, but the headphones themselves have served me well. The easy access features are convenient: swiping can be inconsistent at times, but there is a setting to adjust for that. Also, the *included* airplane connector is a huge boon. I love sony for this. This was the precursor to my audiophile days, but even then, I enjoy these a lot from the listening exp. to general usage. I haven't considered other headphones since, because these have withstood the test of time and are beloved for good reason.

Muy buen producto, cumple con todo lo que promete. Me parece mejor que el WH-1000XM5, ya que es plegable mas allá de su diseño. Aunque es obvio que el WH-1000XM6 cuente con mas nuevas y tal vez mejores características este modelo no tiene nada que envidiarle en cuanto a funcionalidad y lo estético. Si me parece que por el valor que tiene, sería bueno que bueno se actualiza su firmware para agregarle funciones/integración de IA, que ya se observan en los modelos sucesores.

Leí mucho que era el mejor cancelador de ruido del mercado. Tengo hipersensibilidad auditiva y sí baja el volumen, pero se escucha todo. Si no los combino con protectores internos de silicona, no me sirven. Bajé la app y puse la cancelación al máximo, pero no mejoró. Muy caros para el resultado que se logra.

Los audífonos son buenos a secas. Cancelación de ruido respetable, pero no perfecta. Calidad de audio bien dentro de lo que cabe. Es un buen producto que se mira caro. Me costó con descuento 4 mil 500, sin embargo creo que es un producto de 3 mil 500 pesos aprox. Por el precio esperaba un poco más.

Compre el producto hace mas un año, lo uso una vez por semana. Se descompuso al medio año y hace un chillido ensordecedor. Compre el 5 y 6...en el 5 me paso lo mismo.Espeto que el 6 no tenga mismo defecto.
Good all round headset, with duel Bluetooth

Good battery life, comfortable, great noise cancellation - like amazing, and the sound quality is decent. The main reason I picked these over similar headphones is the dual Bluetooth feature, so I can use these on my PC for work / gaming, and then go out for a walk without having to switch Bluetooth, or put it in pairing mode then connect every time - it just does it automatically. I'd give 5 stars, but the only slight issue I have is sometimes that cool duel Bluetooth mode can override your PC and prioritize your phone. For example I used them in a work meeting, and someone phoned me mid meeting, which switch my connection from PC to phone automatically - not ideal. So I still switch Bluetooth off on my phone for meetings, but for everything else it works great (almost all other times I'd prefer it to switch to my phone so I can take the call, just not during meetings!).

En general están bien los audífonos, se escuchan bien pero no muy bien , por el precio que pague esperaría mejor calidad. No los regreso por qué ya van varias veces que los uso. La próxima vez, buscaré de otra marca.

Does exactly what I need for the price I paid- very satisfied. The noise-cancellation could be stronger, but it's pretty good for daily use. The headphones are very comfortable but can get a bit too hot in the summer. The sound quality is really good. The battery life is very good but I wish you could still use them when they're plugged in to charge. Very little latency issues so I find them great for watching films etc. I find the power on/off voice/sound quite annoying but that's maybe just me... Would prefer something short and simple instead.
