Nice home cinema system. Very easy to set up. Sound quality is great, as expected. One thing that could have been improved/implemented is front/back balance.

This 5.1 soundbar was purchased to replace a 2.1 Creative Stage soundbar. I am so disapointed in the quality, particularly when voice is concerned in movies. The sound is tinny and lacks the depth and bass I got from the Creative soundbar - which was 1/3 of the cost. And yes, i have tried all the adjustments - different sounds setting such as 'cinema', 'standard', etc... even the surround speaker setting such as distance and levels (i understand these dont broadcast the voice in 5.1 setting). The problem is that in the 5.1 input, only the centre speaker is used at some points and the speaker is very weak. I have also got the sub woofer set at max +12 - and it does not match the Creative Stage it replaced. As another reviewer highlighted, this system is missing indepentent bass and treble settings. I have found a way around it - by switching the TV output from 'multi channel' (i.e. 5.1) to 'stereo' only (i.e. 2 channel) - and selecting 'multi-speaker' setting to on (with this setting, when a 2 channel input is detected,the HT-S40R replicates the left and right on the rear speakers). This way, the vocals in a movie or TV prgram has something similar to the bass and depth i was used to from the Creative soundbar - but i have obviously lost the 5 channel surround sound. Very disapointed. Pretty much all i ahve gained from the £80 creative stage 2.1 soundbar it replaced is the wireless rear speakers - but just repliating the left / right channel in stereo mode. It was the wireless rear speaers and cost that drew me to this product - i shoud have known it would not be good for the price. And i am still not convinced it sounds any better than the Creative cheap soundbar. Come on Sony, this is poor. I was expecting so much more. And please dont reply with any comments about using the buttons for different sound modes or adjusting the subwoofer volume, that would be rubbing salt in the wound. I have been through every setting - even checked i had the latest firmware...(and i have a HDMI 2.0 with Ethernet cable using HDMI ARC - which works fine by the way with my Phillips TV)

No suena mal pero echo muchísimo de menos poder regular los graves y los agudos

If you're looking for basic 5.1 surround sound then this is your system. Most people on the a budget or people not into pure high quality digital processed sound will be okay with this system, But if you have a home theater like I do, and have been blessed and spoiled, then this system is mediocre at best. Sony makes quality products, but at $299 you get what you pay for.

Compré este producto antes de fiestas patrias, me llegó antes de lo programado. Lo instalé y funciona excelente. Ya tenemos nuestro cine en casa. Lo recomiendo. 10 puntos !!!!!

SONIDO INIGUALABLE, GRAN POTENCIA, BUEN SONIDO ENVOLVENTE

I have been using the soundbar fro a few weeks now and as my title says nit has performed solidly, is very reliable and has provided quality sound. I have strea,med used tv sound and it has been crisp and clear and all at a very reasonable price.

Excelente sonido, se escucha muy bien, y es fácil de conectar

Excelente sonido, se escucha limpio. Es genial q se pueda regular el sonido de los parlantes tanto izq como derecho. La conexión a Bluetooth anda bárbaro, no podía esperar menos de Sorny, eh digo Sony.

Llevo un mes con el teatro en casa, funciona super bien, cuando conecto mi dispositivo por medio del bluetooth es cuando le saco el 100% de su utilidad y potencia, en general me a gustado, tiene un bajo increíble, no le doy las cinco estrellas ya que por HDMI y cable óptico no entrega la calidad como lo hace por bluetooth, del resto todo muy bien, fácil de instalar, y lo mejor en precio calidad, también me gustó que viene con dolby Atmos

Hace un mes que tengo el equipo y estoy super conforme.

Llevo desde el 2022 con este equipo Home Cinema y es uno de los mejores equipos que he tenido, el sonido es envolvente y de calidad, los altavoces traseros son inalámbricos lo que te da la comodidad tanto en instalación como en no tener cables cruzando por el salón.

Se me desvincula cada vez que apago y enciendo el televisor

The system has an elegant physical design and it fits well in my room with my 55" TV. The rear speakers are wired to a wireless receiver, which is very practical. The unit was easy to setup. All wires were marked properly and the system works flawlessly. My only complaint is that on the product page, it says that I can change the settings by using the Sony Music Center App, but in fact this model is not supported by the app and it won't connect to it. Misleading information.

Calidad en los componentes, diseño muy exclusivo y la calidad del sonido envolvente es de lo mejor que he escuchado.... Feliz de la compra...

Por ahora estoy probándolo, lo que que estoy viendo es que los parlantes de atrás producen un pequeño ruido a veces, ruidos que no son parte del so ido reproducido. Espero no empeore ya que muy debes en cuando se escuchan

Este home theater es perfecto si quieres buena calidad de sonido y buenos bajos. No es bueno si lo que querés es potencia.

De muy fácil instalación, sin tantas conexiones a la vista, buen sonido 5.1 Sin ninguna configuración especial. Multiples entradas, Botón de prueba.

Cumple con su objetivo, buena performance, bajos adecuados.

Easy to set up, no wires and sounds mint. Well happy !
